Transitions to OHIO RUSH!!!!!
Transitions to OHIO RUSH!!!!!
On January 4, 2011, Northern Ohio Elite Soccer Academy (NOESA) was accepted into the Rush Soccer family, thereby forming the top club in Northern Ohio, the Ohio RUSH! In keeping with the principals that NOESA was founded upon, bringing the best players in NE Ohio together in order to affordably develop all of our players, under the direction of the best coaches in the area, the formation of the Ohio RUSH will allow us to bring a great soccer experience to all of our members, regardless of age or ability. As one of our Founding Members and Current President, Mike Liezert says, “We have come a long way in two short years. The partnership with Rush Soccer is part of the natural evolution of NOESA into a major force in US Youth Soccer.”
From our Director of Coaching Sandor Jakab, “The partnership of NOESA and Rush Soccer is a tremendous honor for our club, players, and coaches, and a great opportunity for all players in Northern Ohio.”
The Rush began as the Colorado Rush in 1997 and over the past decade has achieved a level of success unparalleled in the history of American youth soccer. Since 2003, 26 clubs from across the United States, 12 in Africa and 1 in Asia have partnered with the Rush, determined to reach the same lofty standards as the founding club. Ohio Rush will become the 27 Club. Rush Soccer expects and demands of its partners the utmost in professionalism, sportsmanship, and success, values that are echoed in their motto, “Where the Trails of Passion and Purpose Meet, Begins the Path to Victory.” In NOESA, Rush Soccer sees a club with the same commitment to excellence, potential for growth, and aspirations of regional and national success for our teams and players. As such, NOESA has been chosen as Rush Soccer’s exclusive partner in Ohio North, and we will work together to teach our players the “Rush Way.”
In exploring a potential partnership with Rush Soccer, the Board at NOESA realized that becoming the Ohio RUSH would provide our members with numerous benefits. The partnership solidifies our position as the elite club in Northern Ohio, as well as assists us in providing soccer for children of all levels, abilities and economic means. Rush Soccer encourages its partners to be community based clubs serving the needs of every 5-18 year old who wants to participate in soccer, matching the mission set forth by NOESA two years ago. Our players, coaches and staff are joining an organization with nearly 40,000 members, spanning 25 states. As the Ohio RUSH, we now have national level partnerships with Nike, Eurosport, A.J. Auxerre, (A French A League Club) just to name a few, providing countless opportunities to each of our members.
On the coaching side of things, Sandor Jakab, our Director of Coaching, quickly saw the advantages of becoming the Ohio RUSH, especially with regards to the development of both our players and coaches. Realizing that the partnership would give us the ability to attract additional top coaches from around the country to work for the Ohio RUSH, thus providing our players with the best coaching ever offered in Northern Ohio! As our Club continues to grow we anticipate the need to hire even more coaches to continue our goal of Player Development at the highest levels. Our new relationship with Rush Soccer gives us the opportunity to mature our existing coaches in a dynamic environment and at the same time attract the best coaches in the Region to develop our players for the future.
Overall, by partnering with the largest youth soccer club in the country, the Ohio RUSH will be able to offer to our members benefits that would never have presented themselves to NOESA alone. Some of these benefits include:

In the short term, you may not notice many changes. Your coaches will be the same, as will your uniforms, your practice gear, and the like. NOESA will still be running the Academy and Elite programs, and all the other programs that have made us the top club in the area. Your teams’ spring schedule of events and training will remain the same. But behind the scenes, many people will be working extremely hard, so that by tryouts in June, NOESA will have completely transformed itself into the Ohio RUSH.
The Official NOESA transition to Ohio RUSH will be an organized process. With all the NOESA teams playing under the Ohio RUSH Banner starting in the fall. Exact details and information on how this affects your family directly will follow within the next few weeks. Look for your NOESA Ohio RUSH transition Committee to have this information in your virtual mailbox as soon as we can. This will address all the questions and concerns you have with regards to the transition and clearly delineate the effect on your player and your family. All transition information will be posted at our transition website – www.ohiorushsoccer.com
Please pass on the word to other members of the Northern Ohio soccer community. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our Transition Coordinator Tim Pelton by email at tpelton@ohiorushsoccer.com . We also encourage you to visit www.rushsoccer.com to find out more about “the Rush Way,” and learn about our partner clubs around the United States. Thank you for your support as we transition over these next few months, and please, help to spread the great news.
